To be honest I was reluctant about the whole process of training. I travel to the gym with my daughter Chloe on my disability scooter. So by the time I make my way upstairs into the gym i’m usually shattered.
Encouraged by the staff over months I decided I’d try the cross trainer whilst the classes were on. This pained my legs so I went onto the treadmill which I found easier. Short periods of walks became longer periods. No matter how long I was on it made me sweat.
Having never done anything like this it felt really good and over time its getting easier. I also smoke and understand this works against what I want to achieve. So cutting back on smoking and more exercise has enabled me to feel the benefits of this basic training.
